The lowest recorded temperature in the United States was recorded on the Dalton Highway in Alaska. Negative 82.8 degrees Fahrenheit. A road made famous by the TLC show, “Ice Road Truckers”. Built only 25 years ago to support the northern oil fields, the road stretches 414 miles from Fairbanks AK to the Arctic Ocean. I will drive this road in my life. I promise.
