Could the VW Scirocco be the best looking hatchback of the decade? Yes. In my opinion, it is, but VW won’t ever bring it to the United States. Why? My theory: Americans need short badges and simple names for cars.
Think of the best selling cars in the country. Short, simple, and sweet. The Toyota Camry. The Honda Civic. Ford F150. BMW M3. Audi A4. Mercedes C.
The Scirocco is just too complicated of a name for us yanks. Lets just name it the “The Shit”.
